Equals’ strategy to date has been focused on improving scale and operational efficiencies across its platform, which has been driven through R&D investment, acquisition and rationalising its supply chain. The success of this has led to major developments such as self-issuance of Mastercard branded cards, owning its entire travel money business supply chain and redesigning its corporate expenses platform to improve functionality and user experience. Most recently, the Group, through its subsidiary Spectrum Payments Services (SPS), was granted settlement accounts with the Bank of England and became a direct participant of the UK Faster Payments Scheme. The cumulative [MF1] effect of these achievements is the creation of a high quality, faster, lower-cost customer service, which has led to excellent customer retention and a 9.4 Trustpilot score.
